Reflection

There is something about the word "Mommy" that evokes memories of wobbly walking legs and an adorable indiscernible version of the English language (OK, not so distant memories). But Amelia has started to call me Mom instead of Mommy. She is growing up so fast. She says things like, "are you kidding?" after she tells a joke without a punchline. She tells me how much I am going to like something before she shows it to me. Every once in awhile, I look at her and I see her at 15 making me wish I had enjoyed age 3 while it lasted.

So with babe #2 I get to wait for the day she learns to say Mommy. I'm in no hurry, I am really enjoying the goos and sighs. Amelia "interprets" for me. "She wants to go to the toy store!" Right now she looks at me with bright eyes and actually seems to enjoy my singing. She sits in her swing and grins at her reflection in the mirror above. "That baby up there really likes me!" Love it! If I could just get Amelia to change her diapers!:)

I know I should enjoy 3 while it lasts too, but I can't figure out what to enjoy about it. 3 is stinkin' hard!

I love that Amelia interprets for you. That is so cute!
