Picking Flowers

As some of you may know, I really enjoy dabbling in design and party planning. I am back at it again with my parents 50th anniversary coming up May 2nd. I have some fun stuff planned and I am finally getting invitations finished so I can send them out. But I have to figure out the flowers. I am hoping some of you have some experience with flowers or at least have an opinion to share. I want to get the biggest bang for my buck and I will be putting flowers on about 5 tables, the cake table, the sign in table, and my parents will have a corsage and boutonnière. I want them to have a more traditional look since my Mother has very tradition taste. I am hoping to do a "shades of white" color scheme with champagne ribbon. So far I have come up with

Roses

Ranunculus

Stephanotis

Hydrangeas (if I can afford them:)

{Clockwise: ranunculus bouquet from The Knot, anemone bouquet from Artfool, peony bouquet by Artfool via The Knot, hydrangea & rose bouquet from The Knot}

I think the anemone is too modern looking for my design but I love the ranunculus bouquet and the peoney. I know I can't afford the peoney arrangments but I might be able to do the rose and hydrangea. So what do you think of the rose, ranunculus, and hydrangea combo? I am thinking about adding in the stephanotis to replace the hydrangea if it is cheaper.

They will probably go into antique silver bud vases and sugar bowls as mini bouquets. I like the idea of putting them on a wool felt mini table runner that looks like a big version of this victorian bouquet cuff.

I am also loving these sign in ideas. Do you have a favorite?

Anyone have any suggestions to improve the design?

I absolutely love the Ranunculus. I'm also a big fan of Hydrangeas. I think you are coming up with some gorgeous ideas! As far as the guest book goes...I like the typewriter and the pins on the flowers. I can see your mom really liking the glass bowl with the flower. If you need any help please let me know.. We are definitely going to be going up for this.

Good job!

i like the bouqet on the top right of the 4. i think the pins onthe flowers are also cute for a prents aniversary. you could have little notes of love from the family on them. for one weddign instead of place cards we had everyone submit thier favorite qoute about love or relationships and we put those on the tables. i think it would fun to do that with the pins on the flowers.
just some ideas but you are so good at this you prbaly dont need em!

I've always liked stephanotis. Cute, and simple. But very small. Maybe that is why I like them so much.
