Today at church someone said "You look (pause) so comfortable." COMFORTABLE? Is that a compliment or an insult? It's not like I came to church in my sweats. I had actually just bought this kimono style shirt, trying something different. I was thinking I need something to camouflage my kangaroo pouch until I can get rid of it, if I can get rid of it. I guess it looked a little too "unfitted", that isn't even a word. If any of you super stylish girls have any wardrobe advice, I am apparently in need of an overhaul.
I am hoping to go get new glasses in the next week or so and I have no idea what look I want to go for. And next month I will be in Utah so I can get a good cut and color. I smell a MAKEOVER! I really do need something new in the style department. Any suggestions?

I've been finding some really cute shirts at Old Navy lately. They are very flattering for my big gut! Is your parent's anniversary party next month? I was thinking about driving up for that. Any details? Good luck with the makeover!
My only piece of advice is to find a good pair of jeans. It's amazing what they can do for your attitude. I took a HUGE risk and actually went in to Buckle last week. I felt like an early twenty-something wannabe at first, but the employees were so cute and so nice I felt like I was in exactly the right place fast. And, I left with THE MOST amazing pair of jeans. They weren't even all that expensive! It has been hard to accept that there are certain things I shouldn't wear anymore, but comforting to realize I can actually still be stylish without feeling like a poser.
Other than that, I'm absolutely no help. I'm in your same boat. I want a total make over. I, however, don't want to pay for it. :)
p.s. I'm sort of dying to know who said that to you!
The funny thing is, it was from Old Navy!
And if you have ever lived in the Morrisville Ward, I am sure it doesn't surprise you that the comment came from "Our Favorite Relief Society Teacher".
I think the few things I have gotten from Forever 21 in Crabtree are my favorite "transitional" articles of clothing but I can't wear their jeans. So yes, I will be on the hunt for a great pair of jeans.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I LOVE all of the Sunday hallway chit chat where I inevitably leave saying to myself "Was that a compliment or an insult?" Happens all the time! You of coarse have already heard my favorite. More than a dozen people have said this to me over the years ... "so, uh .. I never knew how little you were!!" gasp. astonished and confused look "I just can't believe it. I have just never seen you not pregnant." ??? Compliment, Insult ... You decide.
Oh, and I like AE and Hollister clothes which you already know. I don't care that I will be 30 next year! The more hip hop ghetto the better.
