I know it will take me a least two entries to "release" this last trip home into the universe. Hopefully I will be able to hold on to the good and let go of the not so good.
We arrived in St. George with a screaming baby and an exhausted 3 year old. My nieces were sitting in their window sill playing with their cats. Amelia immediately wanted in on that kind of fun. She chased the cats in and out of the house, through the window and we sat out on the lawn looking at pictures while she played. It was amazing to see how much Olivia looks like my niece Eliza's baby pictures.
For the rest of our stay there, Amelia ran around chasing the cats, feeding them and playing in the hose with Alexa and Eliza. At one point I went out to check on them and Eliza was hiding and Amelia was seeking. Amelia looked up at me and said "where is the one that belongs this one (pointing to Alexa). We laughed and said "Eliza?" She said "no, Alexa!" I told her that Alexa was right here and her younger sister is named Eliza. She insisted that they were both named Alexa, the small one was the Alexa that belonged to the bigger Alexa. What a crazy world she must live in.
By the end of the trip she had it figured out, but of course she had 35 other cousins names to remember once we got to Idaho.
