When we named Amelia three years ago we thought about what we would want to shorten her name to for a nickname and really didn't love any of he shortened versions of her name. So I started calling her bugga for short and it works. I love that her little friends have their own names for her. She is sometimes called Mila. She will answer to Milia. And for a while she was Amema. She has even been called Ameleah.
Now we have learned from our last experience that maybe we should give Olivia a nickname that everyone use, a shorten version of her full name. I have started calling her Liv or Livey. This is where the problem comes in. I feel like I need to decide how she will spell her shortened name because that will undoubtedly be the name she will learn to write and her friends and family will write.
I know I don't like the previous spelling of Livey. So what do you all think?

Or should I try to force everyone to call her Liv even though the ee on the end of it fits better with her young age?

Livie is my vote. I adore the name Liv, but you're right, Livie is a better fit for now.
I love that you documented Amelia's nicknames. Ameleah! SO FUNNY!
BTW: Lily called Mila today while at her Grandma Peay's house. They had a very interesting and loooong conversation. It was at least 3 minutes, which is long for someone with Lily's attention span. conversation.

It's good that you have really cute nicknames for your girls. I should have though of that when I named my kids! Be thankful it's not Annie and B.J!
Oh man...I would just die if people started calling my kids that!
