Getting excited for Halloween

Amelia is really getting into the holiday this year. She knows her Grandma and Grandpa will be coming on Halloween day and that she will be dressing up and going trick or treating. She can hardly wait. She keeps asking if it is time yet, each time it gets dark outside. We went to the pumpkin patch and she insisted on buying the mini pumpkins because they are as she says "just my size". When we finished picking out our pumpkins she asked if we could take some pictures with her pumpkins before we left. So cute. We went to Mike and Ellen's and painted pumpkins and she loved that too. We are hoping to get some more traditional Halloween activities in this year now that she is older. She is decorating and reading Halloween books. She put her pumpkins up on the table and said "When grandma comes I am going to say Surprise, Happy Halloween!" I think she is doing all this so she can show her grandma when she gets here. I guess this is what Motherhood is all about!

Such a cute photo! Love those big blue eyes.
I hope Halloween isn't a big let down for her after all the anticipation. What kid would be let down with a bag full of candy though, right?
