Am I doing this right?

Hello all,

I decided it was about time that I join the world of blogging. This will probably be good for all of our phone bills. If you are interested in what the Perkins family is up to, you can get caught up without trying to figure out how to get off the phone with Nina the chatterbox.

So we just got home from Disney World and it was great fun. We had some ups (lots of fun memories with Amelia and her cousins) and some downs (Brent forgot to lock the sunscreen in my backpack and it sprayed everything, dissolving the picture off my drivers license and the credit card strips.) We haven't gotten the pictures uploaded yet so I will post more about that when the pictures can go with.

Just before we left, Brent finally passed his CCIE lab and the whole family is thrilled. This means we will get to have him home in the evenings and some weekends. I think he is already looking for something else to study for. I am glad he is book smart, some one in this family should be. Maybe he will pass that on to our kids.

Amelia is finally potty trained. Now we just have to deal with the really inconvenient potty stop requests on the freeway during rush hour. Now she is thinks she needs to go to school because I told her she had to be potty trained before we could sign her up for classes. I am on the hunt for something I can sign her up for. She wants to be dropped off, sounds good to me.

My belly is getting bigger. I still think I look more chubby than pregnant but I am glad that I am not too big at 6 months. She kicks like a soccer player. She will probably be wild like Amelia. What am I getting myself into:)

My final thought is the grumbling of an ungrateful brat. It looks like we will be getting a minivan this week. I know I will be happy to have the room and the convenience but wow, am I turning into a soccer mom old lady of suburbia? Would a funky decal on the back window make me feel any less dorky? I guess I will have to find some other way to fulfill my resounding need to be unique.

And now after this pathetic attempt at blogging you will undoubtedly be "losing" this blog invite. Maybe you would be better off being able to cut me off in a phone conversation.

Until next time!
